Feeling lost or scratching your heads for your upcoming pre-wedding photoshoot? Get inspired by some interesting concepts and unique ideas from our couples!
1. Eternal Knot
For fun & bubbly couple, Chong Meng & Yee Rae, they came to us with the idea of wanting a fun and wacky photoshoot as they “tie the knot”. Our team suggested them for a journey through the dating times and their common hobbies together. As we understood both of them and their love journey through the chats, the discussions turned out to be a great photoshoot theme! It was never about posing in-front of the camera. It was something that the couple’s friends and families could share the joy with. For the photoshoot locations, we planned the fun adventure amid the natural landscapes and the contrasting urban cityscape. To personalize it to the couple, we planned the photoshoot back to the place where they first met.
Tips: To achieve fun and wacky expressions, practice with your partner before the photoshoot and work out those muscles on your face for the perfect smiles, so you’d feel more confident with the camera on the day.
It sure brought back lots of memories for the dating times. As the sunset painted the sky with purple streaks, the couple was styled with a bold black gown and a charming white suit. Being back to places that hold special meanings, and doing something you both like (in this example, eating the local delights along Esplanade) makes the photoshoot extra heartwarming and memorable.
2. Maple Love Story
All gamers gather! Don’t you think Wei Rong & Jing Xian’s theme of Maple Love Story is one-of-its-kind? When the couple first came to The Louvre Bridal, they were pretty clueless about planning for their own wedding photoshoot. Through more chatting, we found out that the two had met each other through an online game, Maple Story. That was where we evolved the idea into their very own photoshoot theme!
The chapters of their pre-wedding photoshoot began with going to the movies, which was their dating hobby. Stepping into the theatre with popcorn and drinks, the movie unfolded into the Maple Story chapter.
It wasn’t easy to remake the Maple Story world come alive, taking note the little details of styling the couple into their game characters and all the props preparation. We styled the couple up in a sweet pink cocktail gown, to mimic her game character and some DIY weapon props, not forgetting the monsters characters.
It sure took a lot of effort in planning the photoshoot schedule, as our team researched and proposed the suitable locations as the perfect backdrops for the Maple story world. Couples could leave the itinerary planning up to our team of dedicated coordinators to plan out. Check out the photos; don’t you agree that the pictures came alive with the magical touch of the digital effects. From virtual to real, the couple’s story progressed with a romantic ending proposal scene. We styled the bride with a chiffon turquoise gown to bring out her candid personality, and it flowed perfectly to the evening sea breeze.

Tips: Finding the common interests and hobbies create the most memorable pre-wedding photoshoot theme that is solely yours to cherish.
3. Retro Fashion
The retro fever is running high on Kae & Heyzel. The couple came with the idea of sealing the remaining retro places before they disappear with the city’s fast developments. The modern duo added a zesty twist to their retrolicious photoshoot theme. We’ve planned out the old school places in Singapore, and a modern style for the bride and groom in contrast. Finding the last remaining places of Singapore with the retro and old school memories wasn’t easy. We cracked our heads and finally put together the best contrasting venues, each with a distinctive charm.
The shophouses with rich colours were definitely shortlisted at one of the photoshoot venue. We even had a trishaw rented to evoke the retro ambience from the 60’s! The bride, styled with an eye catching yellow and black laced ballgown, matched with the groom in a modern checkered black suit stood out from the brightly colored backdrops. The makeup was kept clean with bold red lips and hair bun up in a low pony tail.
The aroma of the freshly baked pastries and the dragon playground surely brings back some of our fondest childhood memories. As these places disappears with the city’s development, the wedding album is sure to get more precious years down the road.
No, we didn’t travel to Pulau Ubin for the kampong scenes. We found the last kampong in Singapore, and it’s called Kampong Buangkok. For such a unique photoshoot location, Heyzel put on an ombre gown with pastel streaks that flow into a soft tulle train. Kae had a contemporary blue suit styled with a black cross tie to match. Our team also prepared some handmade props like the tin can telephone and chalkboards.
Tips: To make true a successful themed photoshoot, every step of planning is crucial. The outfits selection, venues research, props and styling needs to come together well enough.
